la la larks – Sayonara Waltz

【Lyrics Translation】 la la larks, Culture Vulture

This translation is part of the School Food Punishment lyrics project, under the la la larks branch.

UPDATE 2017-07-10: I’ve tentatively updated the transcription to a version I believe to be official. The official rendering will appear for certain when Culture Vulture drops on August 30.

The other song that made it to the internet. I know there are still a few more that they’ve performed live.

Same deal as “self” – transcribed by ear (=耳コピ), things aren’t sure. Most of the lyrics did seem to be written down in the video I found, but I’m not sure how final those are.

So, from here, I guess it’s just time to wait for an official release. Makes you wonder, though, what have the other SFP members been up to? Well, stay tuned – I may be bringing just a little more here sometime soon. *cough*

Goodbye Waltz
la la larks

The voice of “Welcome home” echoes, ever so dry,
Though this room without you, inside this cage of freedom.
In the receiver, the call was cut off, click, at the third ring.
I could feel the scent of the end in the unnaturalness of it all.

Pour the soda and let it wash down, purge the cheerless mood away.
Fizz fizz fizz, pop pop pop,
Just like the bubbles, clear out and disappear.
The waltz, matching my rhythm – I think I’ll just dance all by myself,
Because until morning comes, it’s not like I’ll be able to sleep,
Or cry, anyway.

Random and haphazard, we’d always fool around and dance.
Paying no attention to the sweat running down, the two of us laughed and played.
I tried to remember the things I hate about you,
But all those fun times were the only things that floated up in my mind.

Pour the soda and let it wash down, purge the cheerless mood away.
Fizz fizz fizz, pop pop pop,
Just like the bubbles, clear out and disappear.
Once I’ve danced until the break of dawn, maybe I’ll feel a little better.
When morning comes, maybe this will turn into confidence –
This is goodbye.

The waltz, matching my rhythm – I’m dancing all by myself,
But throb throb throb, prickle prickle prickle,
I just feel the pain endlessly.
I’m not going to forget the nights when I danced with you.
Even when the morning comes, it’s not like
You’ll come back, anyway.

la la larks

  1. TY!

  2. I’m really happy that the ending for the anime M3 will be from them, and called ego-izm (trying to make us remember egoism I’m sure D:)
