Hamatora – FLAT

livetune adding Yuuki Ozaki (from Galileo Galilei), Hamatora OP

Combination of two of my favorite artists at the moment!

Still catching up to Hamatora, but I like what I see so far. Feels like it’s trying pretty hard to be DEEP AND EDGY, but hey, I still find it engaging.

Lyrics / Composition / Arrangement: kz
Vocals: Yuuki Ozaki (from Galileo Galilei)

Why is it, I wonder,
That the things I don’t have look so much more beautiful?
How long have I been like this,
Selectively seeing the glitter within the comparison?

Let’s clear away this hazy, clouded field of view,
Because it’s too soon to cover our eyes and ears.

Instead of lamenting over the world and the pure-white blankness of the self,
Just laugh at the empty palm of your hand.
Even without chasing after that special something out there,
I can meet and laugh with the me who can laugh together with you.
The place marked by the light that I longed for lies past imagination – FLAT.

How long have I been like this, with hope falling away and turning to resignation?
Why is it, I wonder, that I write it off as an unattainable dream?

Let’s unleash my tightly clenched fists,
Because it’s too soon for all the regret I’ve felt thus far.

Don’t kill the world because of the pitch-black night;
It is because of the emptiness that it can become everything.
Even without chasing after that special something out there,
I can meet and laugh with the me who can laugh together with you.
The place marked by the light that I longed for lies past imagination – FLAT.

I’d always gone on without listening
To the sound of my own voice, only ever cursing the sound of yours.
I’m sure the light that was hidden
Is coming to life within me – I believe that,
So I’ll acknowledge you.
