Fate/Grand Order – Kuuhaku

【Lyrics Translation】 Sakamoto Maaya, Fate/Grand Order Arcade theme song; c/w Gyakkou

Blank Space
Lyrics: Sakamoto Maaya
Composition / Arrangement: la la larks
Strings Arrangement: Ishitsuka Tooru / Eguchi Ryou

When I looked back, you were no longer in sight.
You won’t say anything to the end, I see, to touch upon the heart of the matter.

No one can fill in the blank space inside me.
I’m sure there are lights I will see ahead, but…

Fate/Grand Order – Gyakkou

【Lyrics Translation】 Sakamoto Maaya, Fate/Grand Order -Cosmos in the Lostbelt- opening theme

The title is officially romanized as “Gyakko”, but oh well.

Backlight
Lyrics: Sakamoto Maaya
Composition: Izawa Ichiyou
Arrangement: Izawa Ichiyou / Eguchi Ryou

I was melancholic, seeing the same ceiling there every time I woke up,
Telling me that this is reality – there is no exit from here.

How do I put this to an end? Both completion and destruction are stories that will never arrive.
If my destiny is already set in stone,
Then I won’t imagine the future I couldn’t choose – that’s what I vowed, but…

Tamayura ~sotsugyou shashin~: Kizashi (Sakamoto Maaya) – Korekara

Sakamoto Maaya, Tamayura ~sotsugyou shashin~ Movie 1: Kizashi theme song

This is first time Sakamoto Maaya has done the composition for a story’s theme song herself. The stated goal of the song was to make the audience cry, and I don’t even need to see the movie to know that they’ve succeeded magnificently.

From Here
Vocals: Sakamoto Maaya
Lyrics / Composition / Chorus Arrangement: Sakamoto Maaya
Arrangement: Kouno Shin

I turn the corner, I cross the bridge, I pass through the shrine.
When I climb up the hill and turn to look back, I can see the ocean, far away.
The scent of flowers in spring, the voices of cicadas in summer,
The maple trees in autumn, the stars in winter – we’ve walked with all of them.
On this road with no name, you were always there together with me.

Koufuku Graffiti (Sakamoto Maaya / Rasmus Faber) – Shiawase ni Tsuite Watashi ga Shitte iru Itsutsu no Houhou

Sakamoto Maaya, Koufuku Graffiti OP; Shiawase ni Tsuite Watashi ga Shitte iru Itsutsu no Houhou / Shikisai

Really nice to hear more anime themes from Rasmus Faber. The rhythm and texture of his production meshes perfectly with Maaya Sakamoto’s expressive vocals, and when I hear the result I can never resist bouncing around in my seat with the song.

Five Methods I Know For Happiness
Lyrics: Iwasato Yuuho
Composition / Arrangement: Rasmus Faber
Vocals: Sakamoto Maaya

I wonder, was the very first person to feel the sensation called “happiness”
The one who gave it its name? You see,
It makes me want to tell someone about it, such a mysterious and precious thing –
That kind of emotion,
So wonderful that it could make me float up beyond the stratosphere.

This invisible “happiness” comes around from somewhere within the heart.
It’s a little bit shy, so don’t let go of its tail.

Fate/Grand Order (Sakamoto Maaya / la la larks) – Shikisai

【Lyrics Translation】 Sakamoto Maaya, Fate/Grand Order OP (First Order ED); Shiawase ni Tsuite Watashi ga Shitte iru Itsutsu no Houhou / Shikisai

This translation is part of the School Food Punishment lyrics project, under the la la larks branch.

Sound produced and performed by la la larks! It’s nice to hear another collaboration between Sakamoto and Eguchi, though it’s considerably different in tone from Buddy.

Colors
Lyrics: Sakamoto Maaya
Composition / Arrangement: la la larks
Strings Arrangement: Eguchi Ryou / Ishitsuka Tooru

When I’m alone, I can hear the words – “If it’s painful, feel free to stop” –
Deep, almost like a black hole; from a sweet voice, frightening and tempting.

I’ll try mimicking the words you so often speak, and say that it’s nothing.
It doesn’t matter if that’s a lie – if it gives me a motive to continue to stand…

Sakamoto Maaya – coming up

Sakamoto Maaya, c/w M3 ~Sono Kuroki Hagane~ OP2 Replica

Very groovy.

coming up
Lyrics: Sakamoto Maaya
Composition / Arrangement: Hara Masakazu
Vocals: Sakamoto Maaya

clap clap, come together. It’s about to start, anytime now.
knock knock, over here. Don’t worry, I won’t ask your name.
clap clap, dusk has fallen. Swaying shadows, back and forth.
knock knock, just leave tomorrow’s matters for tomorrow.

The waves glimmer with light.
The sand surrounds my bare feet.
On this midsummer night, reality is more beautiful than dreams.

M3 ~Sono Kuroki Hagane~ (Sakamoto Maaya) – Replica

Sakamoto Maaya, M3 ~Sono Kuroki Hagane~ OP2

Replica
Lyrics: Sakamoto Maaya
Composition / Arrangement: Uchisawa Takahito
Strings Arrangement: Uchisawa Takahito / Ishitsuka Tooru

The sensation of water, a single drop.
Am I crying? What did I lose? I don’t know,
But I think it won’t ever come back – that’s just the feeling that I have.
