Clannad – Onaji Takami

Clannad, Sorarado Append

This song really is important for the basketball scene, isn’t it?

Transcription was based on a number of internet sources. Does anyone know who did the lyrics and arrangement?

The Same Height
Composition: Jun Maeda
Vocals: riya

If I were to make this last shot, would you be surprised?
I offer that to you as proof of the path to today.

I’ve come apart on one side,
But without realizing it, I’d set my goals like a child.

Tsubasa wo Kudasai

“Tsubasa wo Kudasai” is a Japanese folk song, originally by the group Akai Tori in 1971. Since then, it has been covered many, many times, by such artists as Veil ∞ Lia & Aoi (coupled with Clannad’s Negai ga Kanau Basho) and the girls of K-ON! (coupled with Fuwa Fuwa Time).

This transcription’s verse arrangement is based on Clannad’s; the kanji use is based on K-ON!’s.

Please Give Me Wings
Lyrics: Yamagami Michio
Composition: Murai Kunihiko

In this vast sky, I want to spread my wings
And fly.

If my wish
Could be granted now, I’d want wings.
Please put on my back
White wings, like a bird’s.

Clannad ~After Story~ – Toki wo Kizamu Uta

Lia, Clannad ~After Story~ OP

My thoughts on this song, copied from youtube:

This is easily my favorite song from this season. Interesting notes: Part of the tune is from the background track 同じ高みへ [Onaji Takami e; To the Same Heights], which you may recognize from the basketball episode and during the preparations of the play before the festival. Also, the people who made this song are the same ones responsible for the Gunslinger Girl -Il Teatrino- endings, which were also great. (This would be a good time to suggest you all seek out the track human.)”

Additional impressions with the full version: ;_;

The Song that Passes Time
Lyrics: Maeda Jun
Composition: Maeda Jun
Arrangement: ANANT-GARDE EYES
Vocal: Lia

I’m looking only at the falling hourglass –
If I turn it over, look, it starts again.
I wonder, will I someday be able to enter
The advancing time that only passed by?

Halfway on the hill that only you passed over,
Many warm spots of sunlight appeared.
I, alone here,
Think back on your kind warmth.
