Hanazawa Kana – CALL ME EVERYDAY

Hanazawa Kana, SILENT SNOW

CALL ME EVERYDAY
Vocals: Hanazawa Kana
Lyrics: Nishidera Gouta
Composition: Kitagawa Katsutoshi
Arrangement: Kitagawa Katsutoshi / Sakurai Yasushi

Instead of going on a date and getting dragged around,
You’d rather sleep, you say.
Do I drag you around? I don’t mean to do that!
I guess I made you mad…

I always want to talk to you, anytime, morning or night.
I know I’m being too selfish,
But still, but still, I feel restless.

Darker than Black: Ryuusei no Gemini – Hikarikagayaku Hito yo

Hanazawa Kana as Suou, Darker than Black: Ryuusei no Gemini image song

I still don’t fully understand the song, so the translation may be iffy.

Brightly Shining One
Vocals: Hanzawa Kana as Suou
Lyrics / Composition: Ishii Yasushi

A city of promises, a scenery of my dreams, a miraculous chance meeting…
Just wanting to meet with you, just wanting to meet with you, wanting to hear that voice…

And then the world that you painted began to revolve.
I’ll put my prayers into it and quietly watch over it, I suppose, oh, you brightly shining one.

Asobi ni Iku yo! – Kokoro no Madobe nite

Futaba Aoi (CV. Hanazawa Kana), Asobi ni Iku yo! ED1

Beautiful.

Some lines, particularly in the chorus, are a bit ambiguous as to where sentences begin and end, but I feel like in this song, the images themselves are the most important part.

By the Window of My Heart
Lyrics / Composition: rino
Arrangement: Nijine
Vocals: Futaba Aoi (CV. Hanazawa Kana)

I woke up destiny
When I went to the light that is you.
Under the rain of heartbeats that doesn’t stop,
All alone, I just…

I just wish for a dream I won’t wake up from
And pass through the moments.

Darker than Black: Ryuusei no Gemini – Kanashiki Yume no Maki

Hanazawa Kana as Suou, Darker than Black: Ryuusei no Gemini insert song (episode 12)

Hm, the tone of the lyrics doesn’t really fit the atmosphere of the music… Oh well.

A Volume of a Sorrowful Dream
Vocals: Hanzawa Kana as Suou
Lyrics / Composition: Ishii Yasushi

While I let out a sigh, I looked up at the starry sky.
Somehow, something echoes within my heart – a monochrome melody.

So faraway, feeling so faraway,
The lights of the city flicker listlessly.

Bakemonogatari – Ren’ai Circulation

Sengoku Nadeko (Hanazawa Kana), Bakemonogatari OP4

Okay, for once, I’m going to put some of the notes before the translation because it might be kind of hard to appreciate certain lines without them – there’s some rather clever wordplay here. Skip to the bold title if you really don’t care, but I’d prefer it if you do.

From the third verse:

ちりもつもればやまとなでしこ?
「し」抜きで いや 死ぬ気で!

Chiri mo tsumoreba yamato nadeshiko?
“Shi” nuki de  iya  shinuki de!

If I bring together enough dust, will I get the ideal woman?
Without the “shi” – no, even if it kills me!

“Chiri mo tsumoreba yama” means “a mountain from a pile of dust,” referring to the power of accumulation. The final word, yama (mountain), leads into the expression “yamato nadeshiko,” which refers to the ideal (or “caressable,” to be more literal) woman. “Nadeshiko” is written with the same kanji as “Nadeko,” and the two are only a single syllable apart, explaining “shi nuki de” (without the ‘shi’). “Shinuki de,” synonymous, indicates strong resolve to the point of willingness to die.

Another fun fact: the characters for “thousand” and “stone” make up Nadeko’s last name.

Love Circulation
Lyrics: meg rock
Composition / Arrangement: Kousaki Satoru
Vocals: Sengoku Nadeko (Hanazawa Kana)

(One, two! ♪)

But that’s no good.
With that, look,
My heart is evolving
More and more.

“If the relationship disappears once we put it in words,
We should just do away with words.”
I thought that, and I was afraid –
But what’s this? Maybe that’s not quite right..
